I made this quilt with Crazy Mom Quilts quilt along this past summer. All off the fabric is a collection from Sandi Henderson's line over the years. My daughter loves it in her room!! I really found this to be more challenging than I thought. I am discovering that I have a hard time following specific instructions when I think that I already know how to do it. Does this ever happen to you?
Taking pictures of a large quilt is much harder than I thought! |
I like how this one shows the fabric combo.
Machine quilting a queen size quilt on a regular machine is very challenging. I tried to do the quilting like this http://www.ctpub.com/productdetails.cfm?sku=10810. Machine quilting is an art that takes time and practice. |

ReplyDeleteVery cool quilt! It looks so fresh and pretty with those beautiful colors. LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! And yes - it is hard to take photos of a whole quilt, but you did a great job. Your daughter is very lucky!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. I was too chicken to try this quilt-a-long. This makes me sorry I didn't at least try. Your quilt is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, and finished just in time for a summery quilt for picnics and days at the beach (?) or the lake. I hope you enjoy using it all year long, though--it's really cute.

Your quilt looks great. Love the colours and the design. I can see why our daughter likes it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDara, I am placing a comment here to reply to your comment on my giveaway post. Since you are a no-reply blogger, I cannot email you. But I wanted to leave a quick word to say how poignant the story about your lovely Rhodesian Ridgeback was. Once we fostered a puppy for Canine Vision Canada (they live in foster homes until they are a year old - old enough for the guide dog training). When the callback came, I thought my heart would break. No one who has ever welcomed a dog into their home and heart could ever doubt the strength of the bond. I know you are missing your dear friend. Try to balance the ache with the memories of all the love you shared.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt came out wonderfully! I watched that quilt along, but didn't jump in. You did a very nice job!
